When you think of promotional pens, you probably picture those plain, old, boring pens that everyone gives out. You know the type. They either have a cap or they are the type of pen that you click to get the point to come out. At any rate, you think that all promotional pens are the same, right? Wrong.

All promotional pens are not the same and there are some very unique pens that companies use to promote their businesses. The different types of pen are listed below and help to outline what companies are doing with the different types of pens.

1. Ballpoint pens

This first type of pen is probably the pen that you are thinking about when you think of promotional pens. They are your run of the mill pens and need a lot of pressure in order to get the ink flowing properly. These are the type of pen that you may include in a folder with an information packet.

2 Novelty pens

Novelty pens are a little more interesting than the regular ballpoint pens. These could be a type of pen that you could give out at something like a convention or a conference. With all of the different types of novelty pens, chances are that you can find one that will fit in with your type of business.

3. Highlighter pens

This type of pen is a pen that people sometimes use as a promotional item when they are trying to make a point in their marketing. This is another type of pen that can make a big hit at conventions and conferences.

4. Multi function and Stylus pens

With the technological advances that have come in the recent years, such as electronic devices like PDAs, more and more companies are including multifunctional and stylus pens. When you offer a pen that does more than write, you are going to be able to reach a wider group of people.

As you can see, there are more than type of pens that you can use to promote your business. Promotional pens are not what they used to be, and your company can stand out at the next conference by giving out pens that stand out.
